Besides coming to Mammoth Lakes to be able to ski, snowboard, cross-country ski, snow shoe, snow mobile, sled and much more on Mammoth Mountain and at Tamarack Resort, the town has a full schedule of holiday events. To kick off the Christmas holiday Mammoth Mountain is putting on its annual Night of Lights on December 22nd this year. It’s a spectacular show of fireworks, snowcats, skiers, sparklers and more all ringing in the Christmas and New Year’s holiday with a show you shouldn’t miss. Both of these are definitely a family and friends outing worth indulging in. The Minaret Vista Snowcat tour takes you up past Main Lodge for breathtaking winter views of the Minarets and the mountains backcountry terrain most people never get a chance to see. The Parallax Snowcat Dinner offers a gourmet dinner and champagne after riding in a snowcat to the Parallax restaurant located at 9,600 feet, usually taking place right around sunset for another experience and view that is beyond gorgeous.
