Mammoth Lakes Halloween EventsThis Halloween (Oct 31st, 2012) there are a lot of fun events to attend in and around Mammoth Lakes.

Halloween Carnival

The Children’s Halloween Carnival will take place Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at The Village at Mammoth. Because Halloween falls on a Wednesday we will be celebrating the Friday before. Set time aside now to bring the family to what is sure to be a great time this Halloween! The festivities this year include carnival games such as “hit the witch”, the “evil clown throw” and “tin can alley”. All games start at 6:00 p.m. There will also be multiple cakewalks all night and trick-or-treating throughout the Village (begins at 5:00 p.m.) so arrive in plenty of time to participate. In addition to the fun carnival games and cakewalks there will also be prizes for everyone, no one will leave empty handed. Carnival tickets are $1.00 and are available at the event. There will also be all access wrist bands for $20.

Haunted House

This year the Mammoth Halloween Carnival will feature a thrilling haunted house staffed with zombies who like to make little children (and adults) scream in delight! Enter at your own risk. The entrance to the Haunted House will require 2 tickets ($2). For more information about the Mammoth Halloween Carnival or to help out, please call John Connolly at (760) 934-8989 ext. 234.

Halloween Party & Haunted Rink

The Mammoth Lakes Recreation Department will be hosting a NEW Halloween Party and Haunted Rink on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Mammoth Roller Rink. Admission is $5/person which buys access to all the fun games, complimentary skating (rentals included), music, haunted ghouls and prizes. There will be a cakewalk, but it will have an additional entry fee. Rental skates are limited so bring your own if you have them. Make sure to dress warm and wear your Halloween costume for a chance to win prizes! Call (760) 934-8989 ext. 222 for all the details or to volunteer. Mammoth Roller Rink is located at 416 Sierra Park Road in Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546. To contact the Mammoth Roller Rink directly call (760) 934-2505.

June Lake Loop Haunted House

This Halloween the Heideberg Inn will be hosting a Haunted House in the June Lake Loop. There will be tricks, treats and lots of scary surprises! Head on down to the Heideberg Inn this Halloween and have a “spooktacular” time. Wednesday, October 31st, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This haunted experience is absolutely free. Children under 12 please bring your “Mummy” or “Deaddy”.

Halloween Safety Tips

This Halloween make sure that you are safe and careful while out trick or treating. Go out in groups, make sure you are visible to vehicles by using reflectors and flashlights, and examine treats before allowing your children to eat them. Also look both ways before crossing each road, walk on sidewalks whenever possible, avoid open flames and wear flame-resistant costumes. Other safety tips can be found online at the CDC and About.com.
