To the south of Lake Crowley, on Crowley Lake Drive there are a number of inns, motels, campgrounds, a general store and other lodging/real estate. Located in the Eastern High Sierra Nevada mountain range at an elevation of about 6,500 feet, Crowley Lake offers some of the best trout fishing in California. With over 650 acres of clear mountain water the lake is home to many brown trout of ten pounds and higher. Crowley Lake is also well known for excellent Sacramento perch fishing. Trout season starts last Saturday April through July 31. All boating is permitted with improved launch facilities and rentals available. There are several campgrounds situated around the lake suitable for both tents and RV’s; some with full service hookups.
